Platoon Leader

A Platoon Leader is the commissioned officer in charge of a platoons. His direct superior is the Executive Officer of his/her Company. This person is usually a junior officer — a Second Lieutenant or First Lieutenant, or an equivalent rank. He is usually assisted by one (1) or more Platoon Sergeant(s).
Role
The Platoon commander leads the platoons under his command. He is also the point of contact to the Platoon Sergeants under his command.
Responsibilities
The platoon leader is responsible of the following duties;
- Reviewing platoon reports from platoons under his command.
- Transmitting various reports to the Company Commander.
- Relay information transmitted to him from the chain of command to the personnel under his command.
- Perform administrative duties and paper work associated with his platoons. (ex: NCS, commendation)
