Contents
Section 1. Policy
It is the policy of Right To Rebel to provide dedicated members credit and awards for their achievements. It is to our members we credit the success of our Community. Therefore from today on, Right To Rebel will credit deserving members with medals and awards as recognition for their commitment and merits.
Under the following criteria, awards and medals can be achieved;
- (a) For any action against an opposing team or community against Right To Rebel;
- (b) For any action with an opposing community in which the forces of Right To Rebel are or have been engaged;
- (c) While serving with friendly community forces engaged in a conflict against an opposing force in which the Right To Rebel is not a belligerent party;
- (d) As the result of an act of any such opposing force;
- (e) As the result of any other criteria mentioned on the individual award's page
Section 2. Establishment of the Institute of Heraldry
The Secretary of the Institute of Heraldry shall establish in the Institute of Heraldry in order to create new, edit existing, and approve and deny awards. The Secretary shall be selected by the Community Leader and shall be appointed by and report directly to the Community Leader. The secretary will appoint no more and no less than 2 Coordinators. The Secretary shall make available to the Coordinators required resources as may be appropriate to enable the Coordinators to carry out the Coordinator's mission.
The reviewing party is a separate entity from the Institute of Heraldry. The reviewing party will consist of no more and no less than 1 Division Command Sergeant Major, 1 Division Sergeant Major, and 1 Joint Chiefs of Staff officer. The approving party will approve or deny the award as promptly and efficiently as possible. If not enough information is submitted, or the form submitting officer can not be contacted, the award application can be put on hold. A simple Yay or Nay will be used in the thread as a reply to keep time and simplicity in mind.
Section 3. Mission and Functions
1. A Personnel Action Form (PAF) or Form must be submitted by the OIC of the corresponding department, requesting the member be evaluated and recognized for their actions. The Platoon Leader of Bravo & Charlie platoons will submit a PAF or Form indicating that a member should be recognized for an award. The Company Commander must approve the application before it continues further.
2. The awards will be applied for through the Awards Form. If not available, the PAF Format will include: The member’s name receiving the award, the Member’s unit, the reward being applied for, and a citation of what the member did to deserve the award. Further evidence that they deserve the award will assist during board evaluation.
3. Once the PAF is filed, it will be reviewed by the reviewing party. They will decide, along with the OIC’s input, if the award will be given. Upon approval, MILPACS staff will use the information provided on the original/modified PAF, and submit that into the MILPACS system on that user’s roster page.
4. The following reasons are used to rescind awards.
- (a) The award was given out erroneously; as in the member provided false proof of participation.
- (b) Member is charged with dishonorable conduct during period of when the award was being applied for.
5. Image Size will be standardized High Resolution. 3 Images will be provided on the wiki page. The corresponding ribbon or badge will be applied to MILPACS.
- (a) 1 small version (55px width by 16px Height) Pending Approval
- (b) 1 Medium version (130px width by 35px) Pending Approval
- (c) 1 Medal version (150px width by 267px height) Pending Approval
6. The following awards can be awarded if a member is the recipient of one or more from the United States of America. Proof will be provided via DD-214 without boxes 3, 5, 7, 8, & 19, to a JCS member only.
- (a) Medal of Honor
- (b) All Distinguished Service Medals
- (c) Medals for Heroism
- (d) Presidential Unit Citation.
Section 4. Duties of Heads of Departments
The Secretary of the Institute of Heraldry shall be responsible for ensuring the Coordinators all meet no less than one time a month.
Section 5. General Provisions
Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable policy, subject to the availability of appropriations, and shall never terminate from the date of this order. unless otherwise deemed absolutely necessary.
This order is intended only to establish the assignment and creation/editing of Right To Rebel awards and medals, and does not;
- (a) Attempt to dishonor the awards they are based on
- (b) Create any extra Division level positions, to take away from normal duties.
