This SOP covers the procedure for processing a PAF for the promotion of a member.



STEP ONE:Check Issuing Authority

  • Check that Member filing the promotion PAF is authorized to do so.
  • PM the Commanding Officer of the UNIT for final approval.

STEP TWO:Contact S-6 for MILPACs change.

  • PM Quarter Master for changes to MILPACS uniform and Forum SIG and creation of Certificate, these file should then be posted to you for use upon final appoval.

STEP THREE:Contact S-2 and check for Privilege changes.

  • Contact S-2 for Security Check if requested in PAF
  • Contact

STEP FIVE:Issue a DAFN

  • Issue the PAF a DAFN and make as "P" and file till all approvals and file's are in.

STEP SIX:

  • Upon receiving final approval from CO, proceed with promotion
  • Contact S-6 Representative to change MILPACS and MILPACS Service Record
  • Change ADMIN privileges if needed (or direct S-6 to do so if needed)

STEP SEVEN:Change MILPACS and Announce.

  • Post Promotion in "Promotions and Assignments" in the Forums using approved format, post certificate with announcement.
  • Change rank in TS3
  • Confirm MILPACS changes
  • PM member copy of OPORDS/Assignment
  • Confirm ALL actions needed for promotion are complete

STEP EIGHT:File

  • If all above conditions are met, then file as "F"
