In Right to Rebel, Master Sergeant (MSG) is rank (Administratively known as Master Sergeant E-8 (MSG)). The rank of Master Sergeant says it all: Master of the art of leadership. The Master Sergeant serves as the principal NCO in staff elements at company and often higher levels. Although not charged with the enormous leadership responsibilities of the First Sergeant, the Master Sergeant is expected to dispatch leadership and other duties with the same professionalism and to achieve the same results as the First Sergeant.
Requirements
- No Negative Counseling Statements during the last sixty (60) days.
- No Article 15 in the last sixty (60) days.
- Assigned to a Platoon Sergeant Billet or assigned as NCOIC of a department.
- Important part of Platoon and Secondary Billet activities.
- Demonstrated success at all levels of NCO leadership
- Is the example to be followed in all areas
- Ability to assist the Company Staff where necessary
- Completion of NCO Academy.
Minimum TIG
- Four (4) months at the rank of Sergeant First Class.
- or
- Two (2) months at the rank of Sergeant First Class and a recommendation by a Senior Commissioned Officer.
- AND
- Minimum of eight (8) months in service for Right to Rebel.
