In Right to Rebel, Staff Sergeant (SSGT) is rank (Administratively known as Staff Sergeant E-6 (SSGT)). The Staff Sergeant is the first level of Senior NCO. He is a proficient and reliable Squad Leader. His leadership is crucial to the health of the Regiment. Not only does the Staff Sergeant excel in Section leadership, he also shows the ability to assist the Platoon Sergeant or even serve as one if called upon.

Requirements

  • No Negative Counseling Statements during the last sixty (60) days.
  • No Article 15 in the last sixty (60) days.
  • Demonstrated success as a Squad Leader.
  • Active participation in Squad activities and/or secondary billets.
  • Assigned to a Platoon Sergeant Billet or assigned as NCOIC of a department.
  • Shows leadership in all areas.
  • Ability to assist the Platoon Sergeant where necessary.
  • Completion of NCO Academy.


Minimum TIG

  • Four (4) months at the rank of Sergeant.

  • Two (2) months at the rank of Sergeant and a recommendation by a Senior Commissioned Officer.
